The right of access to information and the re-use of information
Pursuant to Article 3 of the Act on the Right of Access to Information (Official Gazette 25/13), the right of access to information to natural and legal persons is regulated through the openness and public nature of the work of public authorities. Public authorities are state administration bodies, other state bodies, local and regional self-government units and other persons to whom public powers have been transferred, legal entities established by the Republic of Croatia or local or regional self-government units, legal entities and other entities performing public services, legal entities entirely financed by the state budget or from the local and regional self-government unit budget, as well as companies in which the Republic of Croatia and the local and regional self-government units have separate or joint majority ownership. The Act prescribes the principles of the right of access to information and the re-use of information, the limitations to the right of access to information and the re-use of information, the procedure for enacting and protecting the right of access to information and the re-use of information.
The right of access to information and the re-use of information includes the right of users to seek and obtain information as well as the obligation of public authorities to provide access to the requested information or to disclose information irrespective of the request made when such disclosure arises out of the obligation prescribed by law or other regulation.
The “Kosore” Business Incubator informs the public through the official web site using the documents and information it possesses and which are publicly available in electronic form and can be accessed without addressing a specific request, while access to all the other information and documents is obtained by submitting an oral or written request.
